A sexy Oliver North? Actor Colin Farrell set to play the Iran-contra scandals leading man.

Is the world ready for hunky Oliver North? Actor Colin Farrell, a onetime Hollywood lothario and a regular on “sexiest men alive” lists has been cast to play the man at the center of the Iran-contra scandal in an upcoming Amazon TV show.

Variety reports the as-yet-untitled series will focus on the 1980s scandal in which North, then a staffer on the National Security Council, was involved in a scheme to divert money from illegal arms sales to fund the contra rebels in Nicaragua.

Yorgos Lanthimos, who worked with Farrell in the dystopian 2016 flick “Lobster,” will direct, and actor Ben Stiller is one of the executive producers, per Variety. Lanthimos tells the pub that the story feels “fresh and relevant to our times.”
